This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Duties of Author(s)
The author shall submit the original manuscript and follow instructions (Author Guidelines) issued by terAs Law Review: Jurnal Hukum Humaniter dan HAM.
The author must ensure that the manuscript has not been published in any other publication.
Once the Author received the Reviewer's assessment sent by the Editors, he or she should revise, edit or improve their manuscripts based on the Reviewer Assessment Form, and submit the revised manuscript within a specified time frame.
The author may resubmit the rejected manuscript after it has been revised. The revised manuscript will be assessed directly by the Editors based on the Reviewers’ assessment.
Duties of the Editor(s)
The Editors must check the manuscripts concerning suitability and writing techniques based on Editor Checklist Form.
The Editors must keep the confidentiality of the manuscript between Authors and Reviewers in the reviewing process.
The Editors must promptly notify the Authors of the status of their manuscripts.
The Editors must disclose any conflict of interest in publishing the manuscript. They must keep the manuscript confidential, and not use part or whole manuscript for their benefit.
Duties of Reviewer
Reviewers must assess manuscripts professionally based on individual capacity and intellectual knowledge within a specified time frame.
The Reviewers must describe his or her reviews in the Reviewer Assessment Form. However, it is permissible for the Reviewers to add comments.
Reviewers must keep all information contained in the manuscript as confidential and not use part or whole materials for their benefit.
Reviewers who unqualified to review the manuscript must notify the Editors immediately.
Peer Review Process
Each incoming script will be notified by the editor within a week and will be done a double-blind review in 3 to 4 weeks after receipt.
terAs Law Review: Jurnal Hukum Humaniter dan HAM is a scientific journal open access so that there is no charge (free charge) to the reader, or author, and access full-text information on the site of the journal.
Every article received and published in this journal is recommended using the Mendeley Reference Manager application.
Every article received and published in this journal, certainly does not contain elements of plagiarism. Check the plagiarism of each journal article using Turnitin application.
Every article submitted to this journal does not have any cost withdrawal to the author. This is true since the author submits, peer-review, editing, publication, archiving, to access full-text articles to journal sites.

Reviewer/ Editor Join
Prospective reviewers/editors should have an interest in the interest and passion for improving the quality of journals, and having competence in accordance with the scope of scientific journals. Prospective reviewer/editor contacts the editorial secretariat for registration on the journal website. In this case, the potential reviewer should fill out the Form Call For Reviewer and the candidate editor fill out the Form Call For Editor as the data of the role of the user on the journal site. As proof of the paper and its competence, the prospective reviewer/editor must provide the link address or URL of a scientific site, such as Google Scholar, ResearchGate, Orcid, Scopus, and so on.

terAs Law Review: Jurnal Hukum Humaniter dan HAM was named Jurnal Hukum Humaniter. It was first published on July 2005 with the purpose to cover Humanitarian Law topics. Due to some issues, Jurnal Hukum Humaniter discontinued maintaining its periodical publication in 2008. Considering Humanitarian Law course is one of the characteristics of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti, and with the highest respect to the late Prof. KGPH. Haryomataram as the lecturer at the Faculty and the father of Humanitarian Law in Indonesia, the Center reactivated the journal with a new edition called “terAs Law Review: Jurnal Hukum Humaniter dan HAM”. The name “terAs” consists of two syllables, “ter” and “As”. The first syllable is the suffix of “(Hukum) Humaniter” (in Bahasa), which means Humanitarian Law, and the second syllable is the prefix of “(Hukum) Hak Asasi Manusia (in Bahasa), which means Human Rights Law.
Since then terAs Law Review: Jurnal Hukum Humaniter dan HAM is dedicated to cover not only International Humanitarian Law but also to International Human Rights Law topics as its main focuses. Besides that, it is also opens to another related branch of law such as Public International Law (and its branches, i.e. International Criminal Law, International Environmental Law, International Law of Treaty, Refugee Law), Cyber Law, Islamic Law, Constitutional Law, Philosophy, and another branch of law as long as the topics are related to armed conflicts and human rights.
Published exclusively in English and/or Bahasa Indonesia, terAs Law Review: Jurnal Hukum Humaniter dan HAM facilitates scholarly and professional discussions over current developments on Humanitarian Law and those related subjects. Therefore, it accepted submissions from all over the world. All submitted articles shall never be published elsewhere, original, and not under consideration for other publications. Using Plagiarism Detector Program, the Editorial Board will automatically reject manuscript plagiarism indications (above 20%). terAs Law Review: Jurnal Hukum Humaniter dan HAM has become a CrossRef Member since its reactivated edition in November 2019. Therefore, all articles published will have a unique DOI number.
In 2020, terAs Law Review: Jurnal Hukum Humaniter dan HAM again changed the layout of the journal into one column, considering that articles began to use a lot of pictures and tables. in addition, simplification of article layout was also carried out.
terAs Law Review: Jurnal Hukum Humaniter dan HAM published by the Center for Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Studies (terAs), Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation Jakarta and Timor Leste.
